DW__What's your name? How old are you and where do you live?
I’m Chelsea Lankford, twenty and living in Minneapolis!

DW__When did you start blogging?
I began writing my blog in October of 2010.

DW__How did you come up with the idea?
Since I shopped online and put outfits together all the time, my mom suggested I start a blog to show other people my ideas! I started and fell in love with the whole blogging community.

DW__What is fashion for you?
There are people who are fashionable, and there are people who have style. I have “a” style, but a lot of the time I’m not necessarily wearing what the fashion industry is telling me to wear. Fashion is art, an expression of feeling, a result of something that inspires you.

DW__According to you, what is the most significant period for women's fashion?
Obviously trends come and go, but I am seriously impressed by how long the 70’s trend has stuck around for!

DW__What do you think about the influence of fashion bloggers in the fashion world?
The fashion world has taken such an interest in fashion bloggers because we represent reality. We don’t have stylists, we post what we love, and the industry can see the influence bloggers have on their audience. Blogging has much more sway in the industry than before.

DW__Do you believe that one day they'll replace the fashion magazine or do you think it's just ephemeral ?
I strongly believe blogs will be around for a long time, but I definitely think they will evolve just like the magazine has. Many magazines can be read electronically now, but they are separate from blogs. I think they’ll stay separate for quite some time still.

DW__Your favourite item in your wardrobe?
My Levi’s denim leggings. I wear them almost every day.

DW__Is your style personal or is it inspired by what is already out there?
I’ve always considered the way I dress to be very personal, because I like to be comfortable. If something isn’t comfortable or I don’t feel confident in it, I won’t wear it no matter what celebrity has it or which magazine it was in.

DW__Where do you get your ideas from?
The blog world, definitely! And I like looking through editorials for places like Shopbop and Piperlime for the season’s key pieces, and Free People for styling inspiration.

DW__What is your greatest inspiration?
All the wonderful people I’ve met through blogging. They are always doing something new and exciting!

DW__How important is it for you to look your best and why?
Looking good is a huge confidence booster for all people. You’re more friendly, more comfortable, more at ease when you look your best. Also, styling is a career where it is crucial to look presentable, because potential clients are going to judge you based on how you look. First impressions really are that important.

DW__Who would qualify to be an icon?
Someone who wears their style with confidence—like natural beauty Emma Watson. Thousands now look to her for style inspiration as she continues to define her signature look.

DW__Your ideal female or male would have what style? what would he/she be wearing?
I love when a guy finds a pair of perfect fitting jeans, that aren’t too tight or too baggy. Plus, a knockout pair of boots is always acceptable!

DW__If we say “Louboutin” what do you tell us?
Can’t speak! Heart racing! Excitement!

DW__What is one of your greatest memories of fashion blogger?
Probably getting to meet up with one of my favorite bloggers, Natalie Suarez of Natalie Off Duty! She came up to Seattle for a couple days and we got to get lunch and explore one afternoon. She is adorable, I miss her!

DW__What is your favourite colour?
Grey. Seattle’s weather has rubbed off on me!

DW__Websites? blogs? other links?
My favorite blogs are The Style Child (thestylechildblog.com), Denj (hellodenj.com) and Kenzie Faith (kenziefaith.blogspot.com). Also, check out fashism.com and birchbox.com—love them!

DW__One last/final word?
Thank you for the interview, and I can’t wait to see you over at my blog!

DW__What's your name? How old are you and where do you live?
My name is Hallie. I am old enough to be my own stylist. I am living in Los Angeles, California, USA right now.

DW__Where would you love to live?
I am married, with a 3 1/2 year old son. Family is very important to me, so where my family live, that will be the place I would like to live.

DW__When did you started blogging?
It started from 30, July, 2010, (my husband’s birthday, coincidentally)

DW__How did you come up with the idea?
4 years ago I moved to U.S. here from China, I have only few friends and family here. So started my blog, it seemed like a great way to communicate with people around the world.

DW__What is fashion for you?
Fun, Creative, learn, transforming, oh, and money-spending, too. :)

DW__According to you, what is the most significant period for women's fashion?
Hard to say, it’s like who is the best designer? each one has their significant style, and each period has its significant fashion. I like different looks from many periods, and sometimes like to blend different periods together. In fashion, yesterday's vintage style can be tomorrow's newest trend.

DW__What do you think about the influence of fashion bloggers in the fashion world?
It’s great! From what I see, inspiration and positivity come from every corner.

DW__Do you believe that one day they'll replace the fashion magazine or do you think it's just ephemeral ?
I don’t think the fashion magazine can be replaced, I hope not, cause I have to keep the magazine in my house and read them everyday! But I think blogs are here to stay, too. They can complement each other, really. But I don't think you'll ever be able to "scratch and sniff" a perfume fragrance from a computer screen, so we will always need magazines!

DW__Your favourite item in your wardrobe ?
Chanel 2.55 flap bag.

DW__3 Indispensable items this Winter?
Knit sweater, Asymmetrical Hem skirt or dress, faux fur coat.

DW__Is your style personal or is it inspired by what is already out there?
It’s sort of mixed up, I get inspired from everywhere, everything I see, then I mix it all up with my personality.

DW__Where do you get your ideas from?
A lot of other things, other fashion blogs, runway shows, or AD lookbook, the weather, my mood, the place and the environment.

DW__What is your greatest inspiration?
All my inspirations are great!

DW__How important is it for you to look your best and why?
“Fashion is a method of self expression. What are you trying to say? “ I would say most of the time, I try my best!

DW__Who would qualify to be an icon?
The one who catches your heart.

DW__Your ideal female or male would have what style? what would he/she be wearing?
My ideal girl would mixed city chic and vintage glamour, mental and floral, colors and monotone.

DW__If we say “Chanel” what do you tell us?
Timeless and classic.

DW__What is your favourite colour?
Almost every color.

DW__Websites? blogs? other links?

DW__One last/final word?
Be your own stylist, and have fun with it.

DW__What's your name? How old are you and where do you live?
My name is Vicki, Im a 20 something blogger..(kinda shy about my age hope its ok to say this) and I live a sleepy little village called Hillsborough in Northern Ireland...

DW__Where would you love to live?
Id love to travel and live in lots of different places! Id love to one day live in either New York or Amsterdam or maybe the south of France on a vineyard.. spending my days drinking wine! lol

DW__When did you started blogging?
I started 2 years ago.

DW__How did you come up with the idea?
I dunno, i sort of just started it on a whim! I didnt read lots of blogs and I didnt really know much about blogging but I craved a creative outlet after finishing my fashion degree and a way of inspiring myself so I started the magpie girl!

DW__What is fashion for you?
Fashion is...an addiction! I love how it can make you feel super confident to throw on your favourite boots and a crisp blazer.. its a great way of expressing yourself and your mood! I always have fun with my clothes and the way I style myself.

DW__According to you, what is the most significant period for women's fashion?
Oh gosh..thats a tough one! I actually really love the trends of the 80's. Women were able to express themselves as boldy as they wanted and everything was influenced by the music of the decade.

DW__What do you think about the influence of fashion bloggers in the fashion world?
I think its great! About time that us average gals have a bit of a say on whats fashionable.. celebrities always look great but they have stylists, make up artists, nothing is re-worn or re styled. It lacks creativity.

DW__Do you believe that one day they'll replace the fashion magazine or do you think it's just ephemeral?
No I think people will also love print magazines, but i think now everyone wants fast fashion, they want news, trends, info everyday and monthly magazines are going to find it hard to keep up. I think more and more weekly fashion magazines will become popular and hopefully one day you will see bloggers gracing the covers instead of celebs!

DW__Your favourite item in your wardrobe?
Probably an acid lemon and lime dress that a designer brand sent me through my job as a fashion agent. Its just so individual and the fabric is so beautiful, Ive only worn it once for a wedding but I felt like a million dollars and will never part with it!

DW__Is your style personal or is it inspired by what is already out there?
My personal style is influenced by trends, other fashion bloggers, European Street style and what I know suits my shape and colourings.

DW__Where do you get your ideas from?
Everywhere, the high street, other bloggers, interior design and prints.

DW__What is your greatest inspiration?
Gosh.. I dont think i could pin point one thing as my main inspiration but if I had to id say the story of Alice in Wonderland has a great butterfly effect on my style and what I like. Eclectic, different, and child like.

DW__How important is it for you to look your best and why?
It affects my confidence, my creativity and my mood. When I look my best I feel my best. Negativity or mishaps just brush right off me when I look good :)

DW__Who would qualify to be an icon?
I love ashley olsen's style, its feminine but slightly messy not quite perfect.

DW__Your ideal female or male would have what style? what would he/she be wearing?
He would be wearing a quirky printed shirt, v neck cardy, fitted blazer, knitted scarf, slim line jeans, converse and a smile.. basically just my boyfriend Dave on a normal day!

DW__If we say “Chanel” what do you tell us?
Pure iconic class and elegance. I saw a collection of dresses by Coco Chanel in a museum in New York.. It was so inspiring.

DW__What is your favourite colour?
Probably a tobacco orange shade... same as my hair.

DW__Websites? blogs? other links?
My blog is www.themagpiegirl.com. Blogs I can't stop reading are: selectivepotential.blogspot.com, lateafternoonblog.com, thecoveted.com, and the most beautiful & darling french girl who blogs at helloitsvalentine.com
