DW__What's your name? How old are you and where do you live?
My name's India Rose. I'm 19 and studying in Nottingham, UK, but I'm from London originally.
A couple of years ago but I haven't really taken it seriously until recently.
I was applying for university and thought it would be good to show my progress and strengths as an online portfolio of sorts I guess.
It's just an ongoing representation of my own personal style, what I want to buy and things that inspire me. I also try my best to introduce my readers to different brands I find.
Something that makes you feel good and allows you to express yourself the way you wish to be perceived.
I personally love New York fashion in the 80s, particularly the streetwear and the transition of women wearing masculine clothes.
I think blogging is very influential in the fashion world and companies are now targeting bloggers for advertising purposes. There are a lot of blogs that end up being brand and media-driven, which I personally don't like. I like the blogs that display the blogger's personality and ones that have a true connection with their audience.
I think both are equally important. They are different and can work in harmony together.
My rings, Levi's shorts, my vintage parka, my leather jackets and my Mulberry bag even though I don't wear it. It's just something I like owning.
All over the place I suppose. Blogs, media, magazines, people on the street but recently I've been influenced by a lot of my guy friends and have been incorporating streetwear into my style. I don't display it on my blog as much as I should but I'm slowly going to integrate it as I feel it's important to show my varied style.
People from different places.
It makes me feel good about myself and helps me be far more confident in all aspects of life.
Honestly I don't know. I can't think of just one person. Erin Wasson and Kate Bosworth have pretty good dress sense.
Keeping things consistent, updating regularly (which I am guilty of not always doing) and being true to yourself. A clean layout and good quality images also helps.
Wear what you feel comfortable in and make sure you are wearing the clothes rather than letting them wear you.
Oracle Fox, 5 inch and up, fashiontoast, knightcat, The Killing Moon, The Trashed Fashion, Studded Hearts... there are so many!
