Morgan Interview

DW__What's your name? How old are you and where do you live?

My name is Morgan Joanel and I live in Sydney, Australia.

DW__When did you started blogging?

I started blogging in March 2011.

DW__How did you come up with the idea?

I began MojoMade as a place to put all the creative things I do... I treat in like a sounding board for my ideas in music, fashion and art. I've been a singer and musician for my whole life and I wanted somewhere to explore the other things I'm into - mostly fashion.

DW__What is fashion for you?

Fashion for me is a way to be free, You can explore every mood, every feeling you have and it changes every season, every day. I think it can give you confidence, make you feel good when you're feeling low :)

DW__What do you think about the influence of fashion bloggers in the fashion world?

I think the influeance bloggers are having on the scene is interesting as they're making fashion more accessible to everyone. It's so easy now to find inspiration from all across the world.

DW__Do you believe that one day they'll replace the fashion magazine or do you think it's just ephemeral ?

I don't believe bloggers will ever replace the fashion magazine - true lovers of fashion and photography enjoy the experience of holding something in their hands, and the information that comes from the writers and interviews. You can't get in one blog what you can find in a whole magazine. Fashion magazines are full of information from the best of the best in the industry and blogs generally come from one point of view. I love the variety in a magazine - and how they expose new things to the reader constantly.

DW__Your favourite item in your wardrobe ?

My black platform studded boots from Betts.

3 Indispensable items ?
My black platform studded boots from Betts.
My black sequin cape by Evil Twin.
My tringle necklace by Recreational.

DW__Where do you get your ideas from?

I mostly get my ideas from listening to music and looking at old photography books covering rock n roll.

DW__What is your greatest inspiration?

Music.

DW__How important is it for you to look your best and why?

I think you look your best when you feel your best, through that inner confidence which sometimes comes from the clothes you're wearing. So it's most important for me to feel my best - as long as I'm happy and feeling free, it doesn't matter what I'm wearing!

DW__What are the worsts and best aspects of blogging?

The best parts is the interaction with people from all over the world and the opportunities for photo shoots and travel that come with it! The worst parts are the editing and scheduling posts.

DW__Who usually takes your pictures?

My boy :)

DW__If you had to choose only one pair of shoes what would it be?

A pair of studded black boots!

DW__Websites? blogs? other links?

I have a lot of links to my own stuff - so here you go!

DW__One last/final word?

Fashion is supposed to be fun and challenging - so have fun and challenge yourself!

Good Bye.

Bonjour, lecteurs, lectrices.
