DW__Who is Anouk? You are also the founder of Creators of Desire, tell us more about it.
I'm Anouk Bos, dutch fashion internet entrepreneur and founder of Creatorsofdesire.com. After 2,5 years I have decided to open my own personal style blog on Creatorsofdesire.com. People now often call me fashion blogger, but I see myself as digital fashion stategist. The blog is just a side step for me. We needed a new fashion blogger and I thought why not do it myself? I have a closet full of clothes and I love fashion. That's when Anouk Yve the blog was born. Yve is my second name. I live in England with my footballer husband, but travel the world for my business and job. My life is full of contrast and I like it this way.

DW__When did you started blogging and How did you come up with the idea?
I founded Creatorsofdesire.com in 2011, because there wasn't something like a blog network in The Netherlands yet. Back then you already had some very popular bloggers and some very talented upcoming bloggers. I decided to unite the very talented upcoming bloggers because they were the ones in need for a good push. Our motto is: together we're stronger. We've a wider reach and because of that we can serve the advertisers better. Creatorsofdesire.com now reaches over 100.000 unique visitors and over 700.000 monthly hits. Personal style is our niche, although we try to become more and more personal towards other subjects too. Lifestyle, health. Everything that has to do with a stylish lifestyle basically. We aim to be your online friend by talking about stories from a personal perspective. Whether it's how you style our summer wardrobe to how to get make-up stains out of your crisp white blouse.

DW__What is fashion for you?
Fashion is not that important to me. Style is. I love to buy clothes don't get me wrong but I rather look at how those clothes add to my wardrobe, sourcing timeless pieces, than hopping from trend to trend. Every season I have one or two key items where I build my look around. Sometimes I buy things that I start wearing seasons after. Than you know it was a good buy after all, because it fits my personality rather than the trend.

DW__Anouk, I'm in love with your style, very inspiring, you wear simple clothes but you mix them so well! Where do you get your ideas from and How do you define your style?
Aww thanks that is so nice of you. To be honest: the best outfits are the ones I've put together in front of the mirror without being inspired by magazines/blogs/pinterest. I mix and match old and new and try to layer. I often choose a simple look but I always make it unexpected by adding some extra ingredients.

DW__What do you like the most in being a fashion blogger?
I'm not a fashion blogger although I have a fashion blog.
60 hours a week I'm a digital fashion strategist. Closing deals and playing the business women
10 hours a week I blog.

DW__According to you what is the future of fashion blogs?
Fashion bloggers are becoming more professional to the point they loose their personal touch and become little online magazines, not so much different to print magazines.
In a way I support that, but I would hate to see the personal touch go away. Some bloggers are already super editorial focused. I think that's taking away the charm of blogging. I want to see you and not a better photoshopped (in many ways) version of you. Bloggers have become smart, but they don't realize by playing it smart they all look the same. Niche blogs have the feature.

DW__What do you think about the influence of fashion bloggers in the fashion world?
It's a circle. Fashion bloggers inspire fashion designers and vice versa. They need each other: to tell their story and beyond. Bloggers can make or break a brand. You cannot ignore them. Their voice is strong and their reach wide.

DW__Do you believe that one day they'll replace the fashion magazine or do you think it's just ephemeral? What's the future of fashion blogs?
Fashion magazines will be there, it's not the end of fashion magazines. I think bloggers and fashion magazines can help each other by sharing content en creating content vice versa.

DW__What is your greatest inspiration?
I always struggle with this question. Because inspiration is in everything. I'm very connected to the world around me. Not only online but often offline. I have my eyes and ears wide open. Right there lies my inspiration.

DW__Who would qualify to be an icon?
For me real icons are people that can do it different. They see the world different, they act different, they look for the new/or the new within the old. In the fashion world you have a few designers that are those icons, the rest are followers and less interesting. Pioneers are icons, the ones who set the trend. Jeremy Scott for Moschino (-although I don't like the style) is an icon because he makes his collection available right after the show. It's unconventional and I like that. Tom Ford is an Icon because he experiments with his fashion shows. One year with public, the other year without etc. You get my point right?

DW__If you had to choose only one bag, what would it be?
My Saint Laurent Cassandra bag of course!

DW__3 words to describe fashion?
Tired, unresistible, image (as in imago).

DW__Websites? blogs? other links?
Instagram ;-)

DW__One last/final word?
Be nice, you always meet each other twice.
