DW__ Who is Ana Lucia?
My name is Ana Lucia Gutierrez, blogger behind the www.thebigbrowneyes.com- name chosen because of my large big eyes of course  I am Bolivian and I spent many of recent years in the United States for my education and for work.

DW__ When did you start blogging and How did you come up with the idea?
I started blogging 3 years ago right after I finished my studies at Parsons, The New School of Design in New York City. I wanted to work in something that combined all my interests in one- photography, writing, graphic design and styling and blogging is ALL that.

DW__ Could you introduce your blog, The Big Brown Eyes?
The Big Brown Eyes is a project made with a lot of dedication and most importantly a lot of love- one that is dedicated entirely to fashion and beauty. TBBE is a platform for the latest news, tips, trends and lots of fun fashion-y things plus I recently started adding my personal style pics to it! I started it three years ago and it was the first fashion blog in Bolivia. TBBE is bilingual- in English and Spanish.

DW__ What is fashion for you?
Fashion is self-expression. They say not to judge a book by it’s cover but usually I can tell what kind of a person someone is through their choices of personal style.

DW__ Where do you get your ideas from and How do you define your style?
I am a social media addict! I get a lot of my inspiration from Instagram and Pinterest mostly as they are very visual platforms and I’m very much driven towards that. Traveling is always my biggest source of inspiration- it always opens up my mind to new projects and ideas.

My style is feminine and colorful and I’m not afraid to experiment with cuts, colors or prints. I identify myself a lot with Australian fashion as it is fun and elegant at the same time.

DW__ How did you get this passion for fashion? What/who encouraged you to start?
I feel like I’ve always had an eye for detail so if I wasn’t a fashion blogger I would be a graphic designer, architect or even an engineer like my dad is. I remember being very little and paying attention to the fabrics I was wearing or cutting out my favorite ads from magazines. I was born with a passion for this industry and no one really pushed me but myself. I knew working in fashion was what I wanted, I just never envisioned early on that I would become a blogger.

DW__ 3 favorite places in your city?
I’ve lived in a few different states in the US while getting my education and working- Virginia, DC and New York City. However, now I live in Santa Cruz, Bolivia where I was born and not many people know about it, but it’s an incredibly beautiful city.

- La Plaza 24 de Septiembre y La Catedral- Our plaza downtown and our cathedral that is representative of our culture. It’s packed on Sundays and you can go walk around, grab an ice cream, go to the local movie theatre. It’s all about the simple things here.
- La Rinconada- a beautiful ecological park with breathtaking sceneries.
- My house- It has to be on my list since I’m BIG on family. I spend most of my time at home and around the people I love the most especially since I spent so many years living by myself.

DW__ 3 words to describe fashion?
Inspirational, Creative, Unpredictable

DW__ What are your future projects?
I’m in the first stages of a beautiful collaboration with an American accessories brand as one of their stylists. It’s exciting!

DW__ One last/final word?
To all your beautiful followers of The Daily Women, come out and check out my page and my social
media platforms @THEBIGBROWNEYES.

New York, New York, que dire...

Autumn has arrived, and that means it’s time to revisit the runways to make sure our autumn/winter wardrobes are in sync with the hottest seasonal styles. Just as important as it is rounding up the right coat, browsing for the best boots, and scouting for the perfect scarf, it’s imperative you seek out the it-bags of the season, too. With that being said, there are top trends to keep an eye out for as you scope the storefronts for your satchels, clutches and shoulder bags to wear autumn 2015 right. Here are the top five bag trends you have got to try this season if you’re looking to step up your style game...

1. Fur Real
According to this runway report, one of the most touchable trends this season is the fur craze. Don’t worry (and no need to feel guilty), faux fur looks just as luxe as the real thing, and will usually cost less, too. Grab a little fuzzy bag to break out when your outfit needs an extra “touch," and if you're feeling adventurous, try a furry backpack.
2. Leather Weather
It seems designers like Etro and Tod’s have been bitten by the snakeskin style and can’t seem to shake it. With their collections showing patchwork snakeskin purses in a variety of lush leather tones like ruby and cobalt with dark accents, it’s evident that a snakeskin satchel is just what you need this season.

3. Pretty in Pink
Do darling details ever go out of style? This season, wear your prettiest piece in the form of a structured, pink clutch that screams sophistication. Posh purses are a perennial favorite, reminding women just how fabulous it is to feel playfully feminine. A pale shade of pink will accent your autumn outfits with unmatched class.

4. Itty Bitty Backpack
Small, convenient and coveted, backpacks are no longer just for students. Backpacks are the new chic way to be fashionably hands-free. The above style from this selection is a stylish example of a cool, every-occasion bag equipped to take you from daytime meetings to evening plans.

5. Fringe Binge
Channel your inner Westerner with a fun fringe handbag. If you’re not binging on fringe this autumn, you’re losing out on some serious style points. For a calm look, try a small shoulder bag with short fringe on the flap. But if you always go for bold, pick up a slouchy style with trailing tassles.

Gorgia May Jagger!

DW__ Who is Iman?
I am a 20 years old West African and Parisian girl. I live in London now but I will spend the next year working in California!

DW__ When did you started blogging and How did you come up with the idea?
I started blogging a year ago. As a part of my university degree, I took web development classes, and I wanted to see if I could build a website on my own. I also wanted to share my vision of style as a playground, a fun thing to experience with as opposed to something that relies on fixed "rules".

DW__ Could you introduce your blog, Manigazer?
Manigazer started off as a personal style blog, where I would show and discuss my latest outfits with the world as I would with friends. Now, it also covers a very important part of my life: self development. I aim to become the best possible version of myself (in terms of mindset, style and lifestyle), and Manigazer shares my journey towards this goal.

DW__ What is fashion for you?
To me, style is a game and fashion is a set of rules for that game, that changes every season. Everyone is free to play by these rules, adopt some of them or ignore them completely.
I also see fashion as something innovative and dynamic that makes us try things we would never have tried otherwise.

DW__ Where do you get your ideas from and How do you define your style?
Thank you! :)
My ideas come from everywhere, from other people to architecture and design. I usually go for simple, structured pieces with rich materials (velvet, leather, neoprene, etc), as they create a casually chic vibe that I love.

DW__ How did you get this passion for fashion? What/who encouraged you to start?
I grew up with in a very elegant family. In particular, my mom is a genuine style maven, so style and fashion were in the picture as far as I can remember!

DW__ 3 favorite places in London?
Lounge Lovers (a fabulous bar in Shoreditch), Spitafields Market and UCL, my uni - it's a little weird but I just loved my time there!

DW__ 3 words to describe fashion?
Fun, limitless, creation.

DW__ What are your future projects?
Becoming an IT mastermind? - I'll admit I totally had Nolan from Revenge in mind thinking this. Hahaha, the future will tell!

DW__ One last/final word?
Thank you for having me :)

DW__  Who is Daniela?
My name is Daniela, I'm 26 years old and I live in Miami, FL. I was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela but I moved to Miami to go to college where I studied marketing and fashion merchandising. I just graduated with a masters in Design and Media Management and I'm currently working full time on my blog, Nany's Klozet.

DW__ When did you started blogging and How did you come up with the idea?
I started blogging in 2009 on a blog called Fab Chic and Fit, which was only in Spanish. After a couple of years of sharing my looks and daily tips, I decided to open Nany's Klozet (which is also written in Spanish). I came up with the idea because I wanted to learn with my readers; I never wanted to talk like I was an expert, I'm a regular girl that loves fashion and I wanted to be relatable.

DW__ Could you introduce your blog, Nany's Klozet?
Nany's Klozet is a bilingual personal style blog where I share my daily looks, beauty tips, my travels, and a little bit of everything.

DW__ What is fashion for you?
Fashion is a way to express who you are and who you want to be. It's the first thing people see about you and it should tell people a little bit about you. Fashion should be fun, fashion is not about been materialistic or narcissistic - it's just a way to express.

DW__ Where do you get your ideas from and How do you define your style?
I find inspiration everywhere; from other bloggers, runway shows, celebrities…even movies or art!
I define my style as wearable but not boring, trendy but not over-the-top. It's definitely feminine with a twist.

DW__ How did you get this passion for fashion? What/who encouraged you to start?
I've always love fashion; when I was little I did a little modeling (but then I "grew", which wasn't much…I'm petite!). But my true passion for fashion started when I opened my blog; I realized I loved working in that industry.

DW__ 3 favorite places in your city?
1. South Pointe Park
2. The park around PAMM museum.
3. Wynwood Walls

DW__ 3 words to describe fashion?
Fun, always-changing, art

DW__ What are your future projects?
I would love to work on a book!

DW__ One last/final word?
Thanks for this interview! Don't forget to follow me on social networks as @Nanysklozet :)

Here's an nterview of my girl, Melissa Araujo, I love this girl and her minimalist style, she's so natural and beautiful.

DW__ Who is Melissa?
I was born in Montreal but raised in Brazil and come back to Canada for my studies. I love to travel; I was exposed at a young age to the need and benefits of traveling - encountering and experiencing new cultures, languages. I live in Canada now in a city called Vancouver, I still travel quite a bit which I am glad. I am a fashion designer who loves minimal, geometric designs using natural fabrics such as organic cotton and bamboo jersey to create unique and comfortable pieces.

DW__ When did you started blogging and How did you come up with the idea?
I started blogging 3 years ago, my friend Vanessa form The Haute Pursuit was the one who said I should start a blog, and I thought for a while and finally got started.

DW__ Could you introduce your blog, melissaaraujo?
Yes my blog is an outlet for my style and designs. I post once a week, mostly on Mondays. It is a place where I talk about what I like to wear, how readers could style their own pieces, and try to show that monochrome, black and white outfits can also be interesting and fun. I know not everyone can buy every trend or the new must haves of the season, I show readers how they can wear the same piece in many different ways. I also talk and share about my design process, what it is to be an independent fashion designer and the struggles I go through trying to build my brand and business.

DW__  saw that you've created your own brand, I would love to know the story behind it!
I graduated university with a Commerce degree in Marketing, as a fresh graduate I had all kinds of ideas of what the job would be: creative. In many ways it ws but just not as creative as I wanted to be, so I decided to go back to school this time in fashion design. I choose to do fashion design because all through my university I got a lot of compliments on pieces I designed and had a seamstress sew and I realized I had good ideas and good taste to start designing and making things on my own. Once I graduated I design a collection called RAW and got my website up (www.melissaaraujo.com) and have been designing collections since.

DW__ What is fashion for you?
Fashion for me is the freedom to express who you are outwardly without having to speak, the way you dress, and style your pieces, what brands you buy and support says a lot about your personality. I love fashion, it is a hard business to be in a lot people just see the fun and beauty but a lot of hard work goes behind the scenes before it hits the stores and runways.

DW__ I really like your style; mostly black and white, very minimalist. Where do you get your ideas from and How do you define it?
Growing up I was a tomboy, now and then I would wear something more feminine but always very basic and in muted colours such as Black, white and grey. It suits my personality the best. I have always been attracted to the Minimal Art movement and that carries into my designs, how I dress, how my place is decorated and my life style in general. I truly believe less is more and simplicity is a harder state to achieve than over designed anything.

DW__ How did you get this passion for fashion? What/who encouraged you to start?
I was a late bloomer for fashion, my mom dressed and carried herself in a very delicate and feminine away which I always admired but knew it was not for me. I grew up with two brothers I was bound to be a tomboy. The interest for fashion started in my university years when I noticed people were paying attention to what I was wearing and how some of my friends really coveted some of the pieces I bought while travelling. I guess I always had a good eye for styling but never made an effort. Once girls started asking me where did you get this? Or how can I get what you are wearing? That’s when the interest started and I begin my journey towards a fashion career.

DW__ 3 favorite places in your city?
My bedroom. It is all white and I find most peace and tranquility in there.
The ocean. I was raised in an ocean city and I find myself always wanting to live by the water. Salt water and salt air are just the best cure.
The eatery. I love food and I love sushi. This place has the best non traditional sushi in town. Not fancy, quite weird the decoration but the sushi is amazing!

DW__ 3 words to describe fashion?

DW__ What are your future projects?
I just launched a new collection about 2 weeks ago called BASICS. It is a 7 top collection for your everyday life. Easy, minimal and comfortable were the key ideas for this capsule collection. I will be focusing for the next few months on advertising and sharing the new campaign. The art direction for the shoot was inspired by the words of Ad Reinhardt, an artist of the Abstract Expressionist generation: "The more stuff in it, the busier the work of art, the worse it is. More is less. Less is more. The eye is a menace to clear sight.”

DW__ One last/final word?
I hope more people will support independent emerging designers like myself, to put some thought before they buy things that are made overseas by cheap labour. That more people will take the time to read and appreciate literature, and inject their lives with art and desire to elevate themselves to be the best they can be. I strive for that balance everyday.

This week, interview of this beautiful girl from England, Lorna. I just love her style!

DW__Who is Lorna?
Hello! I’m Lorna, the stylist, editor and creative behind  www.symphonyofsilk.com
I live and work in London, I work in the Legal sector as a Lawyer, a lot of people are surprised by that as I tend to get asked whether I work in fashion or media.

DW__When did you start blogging and How did you come up with the idea?
I started blogging a year ago, but I have only recently, in the past 6 months, given it a proper go with more regular outfit posts. That has come with learning how to multi-task as it can be challenging having a full-time job and a blog at the same time. But I love it, wouldn’t have it any other way:) I came up with the idea  for my blog as I wanted a platform to share my off-duty style.

DW__Could you introduce your blog, www.symphonyofsilk.com ?
My blog symphonyofsilk.com is an avenue where I share my personal outfits.
A key part of my blog includes outfit inspirations and trend forecasts.

DW__What is fashion for you?
An avenue to show my creative side and I hope in someway inspire others.

DW__I really like your style; Where do you get your ideas from and How do you define your style?
Thank you, that is so kind of you!:) My style is very much effortless and minimal in it’s own way. It’s a mix of affordable High Street buys with one or two investment pieces. My ideas are from within me, I  throw an outfit together that works for my style.

DW__How did you get this passion for fashion?
My passion comes naturally as I have always loved fashion, as cliche as that sounds. Being a fashion lover can easily be confused with shopping, but I am actually not much of a shopaholic. I love fashion in the context of how it can be interpreted.

DW__3 favorite places in London?
There are just so many places, it’s a bit hard to choose. For me it’s anywhere that serves good brunch as I love food and brunching with friends, I also like Regents park for a stroll and the theatre.

DW__3 words to describe fashion?
Inspiring, creative and artistic.

DW__ 2 items in your closet you couldn’t live without:
It has to be my vintage Levi’s jeans and a basic white T-shirt.

DW__One Last word
Never give up on your dreams.  I am grateful for all the support and feedback. x

blog mode, blogueuse mode, blogueuse bordelaise, blogueuse bordelaise noire, veste noir manches courtes sheinside, pochette asos, pull only, pantalon only noir, chaussures zara, bottines, bordeaux, ootd, olivia, tenue du jour, olivia blog mode, the daily women, sac asos, veste nelly, fourrure

DW__What's your name? How old are you and where do you live?
My name is Amanda, Im 26 and I live in Gothenburg, Sweden.

DW__When did you start blogging?
I started blogging in 2009.

DW__How did you come up with the idea?
I really don’t remember I just remember how I wanted to do something creative with my free time and that I wanted to create a place where I could ran away to.

DW__Tell us more about your blog, what is it talking about?
Nowadays it’s mostly a personal style blog but I talk about make up, school and stuff that go out in my life.

DW__What is fashion for you?
Fashion for me is art, and a way to express myself.

DW__What do you think about the influence of fashion bloggers in the fashion world?
I think its great. It’s a great evolution.

DW__Do you believe that one day they'll replace the fashion magazine or do you think it's just ephemeral?
No I actually don’t think that, and that is mostly because fashion magazines are a huge part of the fashion world. Fashion magazine are maybe going to replace by online fashion magazines. I don’t know about you… But I think there is something magical about fashion magazines… I would be sad if they disappeared for… And I also think a lot of us fashion junkies would be sad too =)

DW__What is your favorite item in your wardrobe?
That must be my leather jacket.

DW__Where do you get your ideas?
From tumblr, other blogs, fashion magazines, movies and people on the street.

DW__How important is it for you to look your best and why?
I think it’s very important. You don’t really have to be a mega fashionista to look good. The basics can totally work. Looking good and presentable talks about who you are and how much you care about yourself.

DW__Who would qualify to be an icon?
No, not yet a least.

DW__Describe your perfect day in your city.
No rain, no wind. Anything else doesn’t matter =)
